BlackBerry Onyx with optical trackpad

Blackberry Onyx - We’ve been saying that this would be the case for as long as we can remember, but today a new photograph has emerged which lends irrefutable evidence to our long-standing claim. The BlackBerry 9020, for now known by its codename Onyx, will be shipping out retail-style with an optical trackpad in lieu of the trackball. Based on the photograph above it’s impossible to tell if what we’re looking at is a late prototype or an early production unit, but seeing as the Onyx has already begun its factory journey we certainly can’t rule the later out. Mmmm, optical goodness.

Blackberry - I love it how everyone jumped on the “new case same old shit” bandwagon after BGR’s RIM essay. In my opinion and many others currently the blackberry is irreplaceable, and for many its not and they obviously use other devices such as iphone etc. Why the need to comment about something that doesn’t work for you, that I don’t get. I guess that’s fanboy talk. Regardless I think RIM is improving its devices with every new one, and yes I would like a kick ass browser and a better OS but who says they are not working on it.

I’m sure the haters will be tuning in for the apple announcement so they can start trashing it. Funny, how there is always more comments against apple in an apple posting, but the majority of folks here are anti-apple. Its no surprise, this time of year is when announcements for Apple happens. Bottomline: just enjoy whatever you have and don’t even bother tuning in if you really don’t like Apple. Hey, I like the Droid and android in general and nice to have a choice. Its when people go out of way into another posting to keep telling you made an idiotic choice is what grinds my gears. Iphone users love their phones, so you can bash Jobs/apple being a shrewd, arrogant and lying businessman but in this world nice guys don’t finish first and just look at the end result…..sales. On the other hand, I see apple fans going into android postings too, but certainly more on the android side.
