Academy Of Country Music 2010

ACM Awards 2010 - Kenny Chesney: Summer in 3D" will premiere on April 17 in Las Vegas. Chesney will be on hand to present the concert film, which also incorporates archival footage, still pictures and backstage moments with his own reflections on the fans, memories made and the motivation he draws on.

ACM Awards - On Sunday, Chesney performs at the Academy of Country Music Awards, where he is nominated for 4 more awards: Entertainer, Male Vocalist, Vocal Event for I'm Alive with Dave Matthews and producing that single.

Chesney said, "I stand on those stages every night - and I can't believe the energy those fans bring night after night. But watching all the footage that went into this film, it's amazing to see this show not just from the Goodyear blimp, all over the stadium, but literally from the band's perspective. Seeing that made me want to bring people even further into who I am and what this journey has been made of. To see this, it's not just the excitement of one of the shows, it's a real sense of who I am, how I got here and what the fans mean to me."

The film was directed by Joe Thomas, a music industry veteran who has recorded such artists ranging from Billy Idol to Paul McCartney to Brian Wilson to Elton John, and as director and producer, has shot more than 100 concerts, including Bon Jovi, Dave Matthews, Tom Petty, in high definition and digital surround sound.

The footage comes from filming over six nights in five locations - Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, Seattle, Foxboro, Mass. and Indianapolis - during his Sun City Carnival Tour.
